Even here, things are going to be icky over the weekend. I was looking at the forecast and they are predicting severe thunderstorms and hail right at the time E is supposed to bring the kids home. No dice on him keeping them an extra night though.

My home church was hit: roof gone. Parents and brother were there. (As were others).

All are okay. More stuff is coming. Please pray for all in OK & KS.

Sirens went off overnight, but they weren't "our" sirens (the ones closest to our house), so we checked the news first before gathering up the sleeping kids and taking them to the shelter. So glad we checked. It was close, but far enough away that we just watched the news coverage for a while until the bad part passed. I'm not sure whether it was an actual tornado or just almost one.

Did I mention I hate this time of year?! DD had an almost 5-hour stretch of sleep, and that was right in the middle of it! Also I'm terrified of tornadoes, but the sleep is huge for me right now. Grumble grumble grumble...

Ugh! I've been on edge all day and the kids are stir crazy already. So far, cloudy skies here and quiet otherwise. The local public radio station is carrying on with it's pledge drive and hasn't mentioned anything. They just did the weather report and it was business as usual. I'd just feel so much better if DrK was here with us. He's good in a crisis and I just freeze/panic.
