I hope not, the hailstones are larger than a nickle, so there is a good chance that there is some damage... I moved it into the garage because it looks like there is more severe weather coming. It is so surprising because it is only 40* out. Too bad the garage isn't likely to fall down.

Ides, when there's severe weather in the area, there's an FM station that broadcasts News 9 and Gary. You can probably look it up on their site. It's not as helpful because you don't have the maps, but he'll give cross streets for the area that needs to take cover. It helps to have a map to look at if you're not yet familiar with all the areas.Laurie

Holy crap - you should have been here last night. I went to check on the kids during the hail, figuring it would wake them up. It was so dang loud upstairs, right under the roof that my heart started racing and I couldn't think clearly. THEY slept through that, but C woke up around 3:30 this morning and has been up ever since.Kris

Nasty weather here in stl, about 15 miles from the house. From the pics I have seen. Look like straight line winds over 100mph. Could be a tornado but the bark doesn't look twisted, just stripped.
Either way. CRAZY.

The tornedo sirens just sounded. The weather radio says it's just a severe thunderstorm expected in about 40 minutes. . . right around the time I'm expecting my ILs to return to our house.Wife and #1 Fan of Attending Adult & Geriatric Psychiatrist.
