judged because we are in the medical profession

I have gotten it before but not from a job interview. I honestly don't mention my plans on moving or my SO's job. I have had the stereotype from people I have worked with when they found out my SO was a MD, and not only an MD, an NSG. They would tell me oh you don't have to work any more, and why was I worried about going to school and working: I could just be a doctor's wife and collect a check? Sadly no cue on what the realities of the lifestyle, debt, and sacrifice.

I try to avoid it in my new job an I don't discuss when his residency will end. If people ask me, I usually tell them that we are planning to be here but because he is military there is no guarantee. I didn't even mention him for so long in my new job, and finally people just go around to asking the right questions where I was hard pressed to avoid some resemblance of a response.

So we def know how you feel, and it's hard to not feel the stigmatisim that comes with being the doctor's wife.
