I guess dressing up will have to wait another year for us.

Cute idea....where did you ever think of that? Although, am I strange for being a little disturbed about tearing the head off the dolls? Maybe I can find a neighborhood boy to do that little job for me.
Finally - we are finished with training! Hello real world!!

I was a little disturbed prying the heads off, but I made my husband do it in a way that they could be reattached after Halloween! I think I found a picture online of a guy who had done the costume and I just adapted for a couple.

Auspicious, the octopus costume is one of the cutest I have ever seen!!

Let's see, in ascending order: Tigger, a pumpkin, St. Joseph, a doctor, and a princess. I will be Pooh to go with our little Tigger (third time we've been able to use these costumes. DD is dressing up and coming with the family but has decided not to trick or treat since she is 16, lol. Halloween is tons of fun!!

My kiddos are going to be Snow White and one of the dwarfs, I don't remember if I decided on sleepy or sneazy. Hopefully he'll leave the beard on long enough for a photo. DH and I are not dressing up, he's working that weekend and I'll probably just take the kids trick or treating at the mall.

Both DD's this year decided to be cheerleaders which I'm psyched about because they were able to borrow my 16 y/o nieces uniforms from when she was their age. Usually we end up spending a nice chunk of change on costumes & I'm grateful they chose something free considering the money suck this year has been. DH & I would like to dress up but haven't found anything cheap enough to do yet. Any ideas?

Is it weird that all the babies in their adorable costumes have ramped up my desire to have a little one? I can't imagine that the fact I am going to a good friend's baby shower ON Halloween is helping any...! It's her favorite holiday and she is due on Christmas so I guess she thought she would stick with the "holiday" theme. I'm not sure if it's a costume-baby shower, I hope it is! I really want to have my husband dress up as a boy scout (he was an Eagle scout so his duds still fit) and me as a girl scout (I actually ordered myself a large green skort) some year but I guess not this one because I will be out of town for the shower. I love Halloween!

We must suck... We're not doing Halloween this year, I don't think. I guess dd could be a witch, if I were to cobble together a few things that she already has.

Do you take the little ones trick or treating? I mean the real little ones that aren't even walking yet.

Allison - This is the first year we have done Halloween & O is two. Last year we were traveling to Baltimore for an away rotation with dh but we were going to skip it anyway. We thought O was too young. Guess that's why I'm so into it this year We also didn't want to have to snatch the candy away either which we would of had to, being he was only one.

We want to dress DD up, but thought it would be weird actually going t-o-t with her...as it'd be like: yea, we have a kid, who cant eat candy - can you just give it to us?

We dressed D up at 14 mo and took him to see the neighbors...they gave him some candy, but it was more about me showing off him in a costume. The first year he'd only been home from the hospital for 2 weeks so we didn't do much.

I wish I'd gotten an earlier start on this--I always wanted to do John Lennon and yoko Ono with dh.

Halloween crept up on us this year with all the stuff going on with our move and guests...

                                Darn!

                                Have fun everyone!
