wow Kris, you need to hold a clinic on how to be handy! I am so not handy. Dh loves his miter saw tho. Unfortunately without a garage and a space to work my creative ideas for him and his miter saw go unrealized!!!

I love it- and looks like it's all solid materials, which means that would cost a BOATLOAD out there from a furniture store. If you don't mind me asking, and just to up the wow factor, can you divulge the cost of materials on that baby? Not counting the wii and what not- just the wood and stuff like that... If you don't want to that's OK. Just curious what the market mark-up is like.

I paid roughly $170 for the wood and screws. I have some things left over. The slide was on sale at Menards for $50. The blue climbing things were on sale for $20. Both were end of season 50%.

So, for the bed in total I probably spent between $240 and maybe $260 on the high end. Still a steal!

I had to use a jigsaw to shorten my slide so that it fit into the space. It's a very small room.

That is AWESOME Kris!!! And cutting plastic with a jigsaw is NOT an easy thing to do. Kudos, friend!

Wow! That bed is amazing! How old is the lucky little guy that gets to use it everyday?

I'll say it again...that is AMAZING. I don't know how you find time to do this stuff!!! I still haven't done the murals yet in any of the girls rooms, and I bought the paint a year and a half ago!!
