Being able to swim still, having green leaves on the trees, not owning a snow shovel, gloves, or a scarf. Watching weather reports for the majority of the country in blizzards while you walk around in shorts.

Soup. Baking. Being warm and suggly, looking out the window at all the white...especially right after a "warm snow"
where it's all stuck to the trees.
(remind me of this when I'm out starting the generator bc the powers gone out for the umpteenth time)

Ice storms, board games, homemade hot cider. Handel's Messiah performances, Advent services, midnight mass, choir concerts with audience singalongs, making gingerbread houses with my family, lights, big down comforters, my birthday.
            ... I think I miss my family a little.

I'm a complete summer child so I always feel compelled to get out every single day for as long as possible whenever the weather is even marginal. Minnesota completely cemented this craziness in me that if there is sunshine, you must be outside no matter what.

Honestly, I exhaust myself with the parks, swimming, running, etcetera. It is nice to just hang out inside for a change and not feel like I have to go, go, go! I enjoy the peace, solitude, and less expectations.

I'm with Heidi and Michele. I detest being cold & require sunshine to be happy. That being said, I am enjoying hot chocolate and love all the yummy peppermint stuff I picked up at Trader Joe's this weekend. Has anyone else tried the peppermint pretzel thins yet?

Oh is it almost winter? I hadn't noticed. It's 84 degrees in South Florida. I do have my Christmas tree up in front of my window that overlooks my pool and palm trees though.
