    I say go for it since it is only 8 hours. I know it is hard but, it will be worth it.

      DH moonlighted most holidays during residency. Financially, it was crazy for him not to. Pre-kids, I also kind of felt like, what does it matter what day we celebrate together? I would go to church and then we would pick another day to exchange gifts and have a nice meal.
