Did anyone else get snow yesterday??!
I think we got almost a foot and a half. DH got stuck coming home last night and had to walk a quarter mile. This morning he got up early and spent an hour plowing the road so he could make it in for clinic. I wish he'd just find someone to cover, so he could stay home with us! A colleague called in because they had 4 inches.

If it's like last year, this is the beginning of three months of this.

Cool pictures, we only got about 6 inches yesterday but add that to what we already have and we have had 32 inches for the MONTH! Holy cow!

Wow! We have gotten basically no snow this year, which compared to last year is really remarkable.

Ooooh, I am so jealous! I was all excited about the inch we got down here in the metro, which is now completely melted. But at the very least it is still cloudy out! I am hoping that my husband gets home early (ha!) and we can take the dogs up to the mtns to romp around in all that white stuff!

Wow, those are beautiful pictures! They are making me flash back to the nearly 80 inches of snow we had last winter. We started working on this year's 80 inches with a half inch yesterday, woohoo!

There is talk of a big nor'easter on Sunday (or Monday? or Tuesday?) but the weather people are completely undecided about it. I have so much stuff to do before Christmas that a storm would really screw everything up, as in my DH will not get any presents!

I guess I don't know how much we got last year. Maybe I should keep track this time.

Kris, I think 17-18" is about what we got, too.

The snow may be around until March. Come up & see us!

It's the one snow after another that starts to get to me. At least the grumpy UPS guy will feel free to leave our Christmas packages in town for us! We told him that he never has to drive our road, but usually he'd rather stop at our door to complain.

The fact that it's pretty *almost* makes up for the inconvenience. I guess it's time to locate all the kids' snow suits... plus think of three months of indoor activities.

As in, the last two weeks??! Haha! Love it when you walk outside and the snow goes over the top of your tall snow boots.

The winter that Sophie was born, we had 76" of snowfall and E was interviewing all over the country. Good times to be a med spouse. I distinctly remember being 8 mo preg and out shoveling or snowblowing. But by that point, I was ready to do anything to get her out!

                        Here's my contribution.
We've had about 7+ inches so far...but we have *very wicked* winds. I'll take a snow storm
Over our hurricane (sustained) wind storms any day.

Yeh, this is the picture I took of our house on Sunday, this was before we got another 6 inches yesterday.

Over the weekend my dad had an excavating company come and move the snow around because it was too much weight for his 1942 ford tractor to push. That's hella snow.

I don't know, if you guys get that much snow up in the mountains during the winter, I would go nuts trying to keep track of it all (and probably a little snow crazy)! It might be fun though if one of your little ones is ready to work on their addition skills.

I only know how much snow we had here last winter because it was the snowiest winter of all time. We don't live near a lake, mountain or other natural feature that makes for lots of snow. We just had three snow storms that each dropped over 2 feet of snow, plus a few instances of 6 inches or less. I'm hoping because my FIL gave us his old snowblower that we won't really need it this year.

                              Beautiful pics rainbabies and Cheri!
