The winter Sophie was born was the second snowiest on record there, so that is how I remember too.

Pfft, I'm already over the snow and we're just getting started. Our area averages 80-ish inches per winter (thank you lake effect), and I'm just not in the mood for it this year. DD1 has a zero hour jazz band class so I'm driving in this crap long before the plows make it to our area.

Don't mind me. I'm sure my attitude will change after a couple weeks of not having to get up at the butt crack of dawn to get the teen to school.

Ugh, I don't want to think about snow! I got enough of it last year, and what we get here doesn't even compare to what you all get! HoW, I was also out shoveling snow 6 months pregnant. Yuck!!!

That is a LOT of snow! It looks like you couldn't even open your front door! Here, it's easier to just go out the garage door (our snow doesn't drift as much there).

Holy cow Deb! We got a decent amount on the westside, enough to make me hibernate(which in reality doesn't take much ). I couldn't imagine not being able to open our door! DD was supposed to go to her Dad's this weekend in the mountains & I put the kabosh on that since I don't want them driving in that.
                Pretty pics though!

Yes, good choice! I'm hoping I can get out today - it was above freezing last night.

They're now saying we're going to get another 4-6" tomorrow - we have no where else to put it! And if it keeps this up I'm going to have to hire someone to come clear my roof!

Yep - 5-7 here Cheri. I am so over this. Today we sent Caleb (age 8) out to clear the snow and ice from around the furnace vents. And here is one of the perks of having older children - they finally start to earn their keep.

I have to admit that I am NOT missing the snow one bit. Granted, it isn't the best weather here right now -- it's very rainy and gloomy, but the high's are still in the low 60's. I'll take it over a midwestern winter, no question.

Lovin' the fact that we are predicted to get another 5-7" with up to 1/2" of icy drizzle on top of it. I'm guessing that we may not have school on Tuesday. On the plus side, it will probably mean that E's mom won't travel for Caleb's holiday concert.

The snow was supposed to start at noon here but started at 9. Brrrrr.

There's even a smattering of snow here in Maryland. That never happens in December- except for the blizzard of '09.
