Yikes! We're in our normal weather pattern here- upper 80s in the day, mid-60s at night, windy in the evenings. Not a drop of rain in sight and water restrictions have gone to one a week lawn watering.

      Stormy Thursday

Thursday looks awesome, or horrible for some
Be on the lookout; Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri or Kansas...could be a historic day

I'm jealous I'm not in Oklahoma. Could have bummed a ride with the British Storm Chaser in his tricked out Yukon.

Why did I have to grow up??

Egg-sized hail reported in Sachse, TX. Just east of me. I'll be checking my car in the morning, but unless there's a broken window, I won't bother fixing hail damage on a car from the '90s. At least the hail got the dog to come inside (she is one of those dogs that stays out no matter what...until the thunder starts).

In this last storm system over 200 tornadoes were reported among 14 states. The national TV news said it's some kind of a historic record but print articles read that the worst system was in 1974 killing 300 people. Also 45 people died from this storm system.

I remember back in the 90's in Texas a F5 tornado touched down in this thickly wooded area. My family and I piled in the car and drove out to survey the devastation shortly afterwards. When we got there it was very eerie. No other cars were on the road so we could drive slowly along observing. We could see the path of the tornado and how it had hopped over the road. For what seemed like a mile all the green from the these thick trees had been torn off and their tops were snapped and broke to their trunks. It didn't take out the bridge we crossed but it took out a line in the woods. It was as if the finger of god touched down and wiped a piece of frosting off the cake.

We're supposed to see more storms today. Man, I would HATE to work in the travel industry during storm season.

I just hope no one loses their life today.

Haha, Veronica, the snow might look pretty good if we get that softball sized hail...
