The last couple slices of a great loaf of cheesy bread from Costco,
Tortellini and some leftovers of this sauce: http://simplifried.com/2011/07/18/si...n-pasta-sauce/ and shredded parmesan,
salad of mixed baby greens with ranch dressing, croutons, soy "bacon" bits, and more parmesan.

    Haven't decided on dessert yet.

The kids are having a baked marinated chicken breast, carrots with hummus and apple slices with PB. I'm hoping DH will bring chinese on his way home.

Too hot to actually cook. I think DH threw a frozen lasagna in the oven. Not cooked from scratch.

Went to someone else's home. The best kind of meal.

So... Somehow I managed to put something together. Angel hair pasta with vodka sauce. Butter lettuce with my homemade ranch dressing. Calorie bomb night!

Me - a case of upset digestion and not eating much for a few days. I last had apple slices yesterday night.
Dh - is breaking his fast at the Islamic Center tonight with the brothers. Not sure what they'll serve for Iftar but traditionally a date is the first thing to be consumed when breaking fast. Then he may have some kind of warm soup, some juice such as apricot or mango, some kind of tasty rice. I'll probably hear about it when he gets back.

Sorry, I'm not very inspiring tonight.

We just got home from a dinner. They served three types of salad and Salmon. It was delicious for the hot weather we have been having.

We've been eating out or taking out a lot lately. Last night we had lobster rolls. I bought some crab to steam up sometime this weekend. We also have an ass load of wild salmon (red and king) and halibut. I bought corn tortillas, so we can have carnitas or fish tacos with the halibut. Tonight might just be spaghetti though.

Am I the only one who thinks that other then the sauce Five Guys reminds me a lot of In-n-Out?

We are having PF Chang tonight, and I always feel like the token Asian in there.... My husband loves it though, and it's his request for date night.

I just discovered laughing planet cafe today! There is one in Eugene and it looks like a few in Portland. I like the healthy, fast and affordable options it offers. I had the black bean and spinach burrito. Eugene reminds me so much of Austin. I've found that here it's loaded with vegetarian and vegan friendly places to eat.

I bought shrimp and some PEI mussels that I'll steam w/ something- pasta? Plus some sourdough bread from the farmer's market and a salad of some sort. It is the day of debauchery and gluttony here in Texas, after all.
