A friend had to start wearing glasses during her first pg and postpartum, but then her eyes went back to normal after a while. (weird!!) Is your friend planning on having more than one kid? If she is, I would say just go for it right now. What does her surgeon say? He must have some stats about that.
ETA: I hadn't noticed any changes with my 3 pregnancies, but my vision DID get somewhat better according to the optomitrist.(sp)Last edited by BonBon; 09-28-2011, 06:47 PM.

Nel, I hope so. I don't know many other moms that are seeing double. My eye doctor thought it could be related to pregnancy, nursing, stress, exhaustion ... Not that I've had any of that the last 2 years.I'm trying to get into a specialist.

Wish I was joking. I've been reading this forum with one eye covered. I went to an eye doctor and he confirmed that I'm literally seeing double. The eye doctor said the last time he had someone seeing double, it was a resident's wife who'd had 5 babies and who had been nursing continuously.Last edited by MrsK; 10-01-2011, 08:47 PM.Wife and #1 Fan of Attending Adult & Geriatric Psychiatrist.

It's intermittant. Worse when I wear glasses than contacts. I notice it most when I watch TV at night or use my blackberry. I didn't think to ask what the other patient's outcome was.Wife and #1 Fan of Attending Adult & Geriatric Psychiatrist.
