What's with the globe at the top of my page with the little red numbers? Never seen it before today - would like to turn it off since all the text is smashed up in there anyway

looks like it's for notifications. It shows you when someone posts something new on a board that your subscibed to and probably some other things, but I don't see anything so far on mine. As far as turning it off, I have no idea.
Okay, I just reread your post, and you obviously know what it is. so I guess I'm of no use here. sorry!-Mommy, FM wife, Disney Planner and Hoosier

Well, yes. As long as you only have a few notifications. Otherwise you have to go through pages and pages of notifications. Is this the lite version of this add-on? http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=266972 It says that only admin can decide which user groups can and can't see notifications in the lite version. The full version would allow users to set their own preferences. I really hate to make waves yet again, but does anyone feel like we're getting a benefit from using this add-on? It probably uses a good amount of resources, too.Cristina

I'll see if I can turn it off. From what I know, no one from here added it. Just part of the vBulletin updating process, probably. (But maybe I'm wrong?)Angie
