I'm kinda floored. I've never known a healthcare provider who would refill an entire year's worth of ANY meds and not have any follow-up for that entire 12 months. I dunno, maybe my experience is the outlier? Everybody's case of depression is different. A one-size-fits-all approach seems really short-sighted.

Regardless, doing something is better than just sitting back and grousing about how shitty things are going. A doctor's appointment is a valid first step to addressing whatever problem is ocurring.

The initial prescribing PA did have me come back 3 months later. But the refill doc didn't. However, I'm on a baby dose (20 mg) and I've never had any suicidal ideations or anything like that. I'm sure if I would have presented more complicated, he would have referred out to someone else.

Do you think you could go talk to someone and ask your DH if he would go with you for support? Might be an easier way to address some of the stress (worrying about him) in a way that he will feel more comfortable addressing it (as though he is taking care of you and supporting you, rather than you suggesting he go talk to someone).
