  • Beat the winter grumpies - love thy neighbor thread!

I've been noticing a lot of grumpiness on the boards lately (myself included). Happens every year around this time. No worries!

But in an effort to get out of the funk, I propose we each take a few minutes to post one little rave/wahoo/ or nice thing about someone else...anyone else...each day for three days. No posting all three one day!! The plan is to have a happy thought each day for three days.

The receptionist at the daycare was so nice and said she was happy to see us....despite the fact that my son entered the building hooting and hollering at the top of his lungs and tore ass through the building to his class.

I e-mailed my Mayo doc about the bilirubin level thing and she sent me back and very thorough e-mail which showed she had at least looked it up for me. I haven't seen her for 2 years but she's a great doc!

        Love thy neighbor, literally.

After DS jumped on the bus this morning, I stopped to chat with our next-door neighbor. She's a labor and delivery nurse at DH's hospital and is an absolute hoot. We chatted for about an hour and just hung out. She's so much fun. I heart our little cul-de-sac.

My very dear friend is coming over this morning to do a yoga session with me. She said she will come twice a week to help me recover. What a blessing!

This is huge...DH's parents and his uncle (also a radiologist) are going to loan/give us the 20% down for the house we currently live in. That means we don't have to move!!!! Hopefully in 2 months time, we will be all set

A nice elderly man helped me in the Target parking lot today. I was wearing DD in the Ergo and putting DS into the cart, and our crazy Oklahoma wind was blowing the cart. He held it for me and helped get DS's feet I to the right holes. Bonus - DS told him "thank you"! (With a little prompting from me. )

One of my clients built an absolutely beautiful dollhouse as a gift for my 2 year old daughter, by hand, from scratch. I haven't even won his case yet! He just said he's so appreciative of all the work I've done for him so far, he wanted to do something nice for me. I was like, hello, it's called a retainer, you're PAYING ME, it's my job. Sometimes the generosity and thoughtfulness of people amazes me.
