  • What's for dinner tonight?

A game my gf's and I play on FB.

What's for dinner? Are you cooking, are you going out?

Tonight it's just the little kids and I as DH has gone out of town for a few days to do his Oral Board Exams and elder child is going out with his gramma, so the little kids will have butter and bread, apples and raspberries (their dream dinner, in the world of 2+3 yr olds). I'm going to have grocery-store bought sushi rolls. I'm lacking a lot of motivation.

I am going to try a new recipe for a vegetarian Tortilla soup and make caramelized onion quesadillas for the side. Fingers crossed we aren't just eating cheesy tortilla for dinner.

Texas Roadhouse is having a fundraiser for the kids' school, so we're going there. (sans DH, because he's working late.)

I'm making pork cutlets (Milanese style--breaded with Parmesan cheese). And roasted rosemary potatoes. And a green salad with a homemade vinaigrette.

I'm begrudgingly feeding my inlaws. My mil actually said that I got "zero points for presentation" when I served strawberries with stems on them. Jerk. Still, I'm gonna knock myself out trying to make everyone dinner tonight.

Homemade truffle spagetti with sautéed tomatoes, onions and garlic sauce. I may grill something for protein BUT it is just so darn hot already.

Tonight, who knows, but I made this for my family last night in honor of my brother's graduation. It was really easy and tasty.

Can I send my inlaws over to your place for truffle spaghetti? That sounds delicious!
