Trying to stay positive about this whole snow thing, but I have to admit it's wearing on me. I don't know how so many of you deal with this all winter long. My car is snowed in, so DS and I have been pretty much confined to our house since Thursday afternoon. (DH is away on a fellowship interview this weekend.) We've been baking cookies and watching too much tv. We walked to the park this afternoon and saw people trying to snowboard. Crazy Portlanders.

I understand OrionGrad. Our car became stuck yesterday in the snow when dh went to give a ride to the store for our neighbor. It sat halfway between the parking lot and sidewalk until this afternoon. Luckily our neighbor is also our apt manager so she said just leave it there. Then this afternoon when things started to melt we attempted to move the car again. It took a good half hour to get the car in the street and then drive it around the block to repark it in our driveway. All the neighbors came outside during that time to shovel sidewalks, de-ice and dig out their cars too for work tomorrow. Some of them wanted to drive around so I went to grab fallen tree branches to give their cars some traction. It took three of us to push the cars over tree branches to get them driving. Slippery deep snow here.PGY4 Nephrology Fellow

Ok, I feel bad complaining on this thread, but the inconsistent weather is driving me note. It was 70 today. Tomorrow it will be 40. Tuesday, it might snow. Last Friday we had an ice day (schools closed, but no ice came). I know many of you are buried so I feel petty complaining -- and I am not really complaining. Just kinda dizzy from the whiplash type changes...
