    White lights inside, colored outside.

DH prefers the opposite. I win.

That's funny, my DH also likes the multi color lights as well. Since when does a grown man care about lights on a tree?? Between DD and those crazy cats of mine I had to buy cheepo plastic ornaments this year. I hope next year she'll be old enough to understand and help me shew away the cats!! I have collected ornaments during all our travels. I miss 'em.

Loving the Christmas trees! We haven't put anything up yet. Had to pay rent with this last paycheck so we'll wait until the next paycheck to be able to afford decorations. Yesterday I was able to get into the Christmas spirit and help our apartment manager and her daughter decorate for Christmas. The day started out early with her daughter coming to us for aspirin because her Mom thought she was having a heart attack. So dh and I rushed down to their apartment to check on her Mom. He did an exam and turns out she strained herself going to get their Christmas tree and probably also had acid indigestion, thank goodness. So she took some aspirin and he left and went back upstairs to study and I stayed and helped decorate with the 11 year old daughter while the Mom rested. We played Christmas music and went through boxes of decorations playing with their singing Christmas displays. Had to get dh's help to finish moving the tree inside. When we were all done decorating we cleaned up and then the Mom invited dh and I for pizza and a movie so we watched "A Christmas Story," together. Dh was reluctant to come because of his anxiety over studying for the Step he's taking this month, but I told him he needs to take a break. He'd never seen the movie before but I think he really enjoyed it.

Anyone else watched Christmas movies lately? I've seen and heard so many references to the movie "Elf" recently I feel I have to watch it again soon.

It's hard to feel Christmasy in shorts and a t-shirt. I'm always anti-decorating though. The oldsters will recall that prior to Nikolai my sole decoration was a table-top tree ordered from 1-800-flowers. 10 more years... I can do this...

Ours ended up being much larger then we thought and we ended up using 800 lights!

I help dh attending's wife put up her tree today. I love decorating trees, and she is 39 weeks pregnant. We had a good time!

Chris- Thomas is going out until either Thomas dies or I pack it in the "you're an adult, time to get your crap" box.

It totally warms my cold heart that you put that blasted thing out every year for him.

It will be even better when he is 16.

He's already told me that Thomas doesn't have to go out this year... HA! I told him (he was what, two? three?) that if I bought it, it was going out every year.

He obviously didn't know me that well back then.
