I've been a member here for just under 8 years.
Three people here,(okay, two as one isn't here anymore) I talk to the most.
I have a handful of local friends, too. My mom is another. I talk to them about different things. Like, I don't share with my mom financial stuff because she wouldn't get how you can "make so much money" yet have so little...
I talk to my local friends about my kids, school, my horses, local stuff going on in the community.
My friends here...they get ALL of it. Lucky girls <3

I talk to President Obama, a teddy bear named the littlest princess and a smurf named little scrumptious. j/k

Really it's my Mom, my best friend and my husband that I confide the most in.

Then there are my brothers, and a handful of real life friends I consider close. Also depending on the subject matter I'm pretty close to a couple of people online that maybe I haven't met in real life but I'd consider good friends to me because they just "get things" or can relate to the same things we're going through, or have been through, that others in my life can't understand.

Daily? DH and one other resident's wife. For advice or a kick in the rear, I come here. I also have a few people (my MIL and some people from here) that I know I can talk to at any hour if needed.

Just a thought but....has your family considered physical causes as well? We had an interesting experience here with Vitamin D deficiency. Years ago, my hubby was VERY down, fatigued, just not himself. He was willing to go get blood tests, and it turned out he had a severe Vit D deficiency. After a month of megadoses, he was much better.

Sometimes, I think the docs take the idea of investigating a physical cause better than the idea of therapy. The good part of that is that then they at least acknowledge that they "aren't themselves" and often consider other fixes to the problem along the way.

*hugs* And good for you for looking after YOU.
