This is terrible. I'm also seeing a lot of people on facebook who say their cell service is out or spotty right now. I don't think I know anyone running this year. CNN is reporting explosive devices found, including several others that weren't detonated.

ETA: there is a website where people can register themselves as safe or check in on others: http://safeandwell.communityos.org/cms/index.php
              But it isn't loading well.

This. And I've got my news off because I don't want the kids to hear. Please keep me updated.

It looks like there has also been a bombing at the JFK Library.

What the hell is wrong with people. I just don't get it.

My girlfriend from college was running today. She finished about 5 minutes before the blast. Checked in with her husband who had to call from a land line to get out. BPD They think has blocked cell service because of remote detonation possibilities. Hugs to you and yours... My thoughts and prayers are coming your way... That and mojo

I feel sick too. Prayers for all. Let this not be the start of something more. Creeped out that it's another Patriots Day focused event.

Two friends of ours ran the marathon today. I was so relieved to find out that they finished ahead of the explosions and are safe. This is just too close to home for me.

All our people have checked in. BIL is on his honeymoon right now in Europe, or he'd probably be doing trauma triage.
