  • Let the Interviews Begin!

I'm sure there is a better location for this somewhere, but I'm just too excited to care at the moment...

He received his first invite for a residency interview today!

The excitement in his voice when he called to tell me was something I hadn't heard in quite a while from him; I think he was just relieved that SOMEONE was going to interview him. I'm smiling ear to ear! Thank god!

Now... crossing my fingers for many more!

Yay!! I think two of the times I've seen my husband most excited are when he got his first medical school acceptance and when he got his Step 1 score back - it's so fun to see their hard work pay off!

When DH was interviewing, I did the same...I was mostly in the office so I always had his email and calendar open. I'd book the interview, book the flight and put it in his calendar, haha. Best. Secretary. Ever.

That's bonkers. Thank goodness for smartphones, so she can just respond during bathroom breaks!

She did say that during ED orientation on Monday all the M4s were glued to their phones. Pretty hilarious.

Interview invite #1 came yesterday. It's the only place I nearly vetoed, so it will be canceled if he gets 8 others

9 programs? Any thought of staying there? How many interviews does he want to take almost all of them or just a handful?

I can hardly believe he is so close to to the end.

                          Seriously! Par-tay!!

MN - he applied to about 30 programs, but can realistically only go on 8 interviews. The spot here is through NSG, so no.

Yes! THIS!! Especially since it seems (too often) that they work so hard with little reward.
