Do you have any New Year's traditions?

Do you always make it til midnight to ring it in?

Do you make resolutions? If so, have you ever made one you've kept?

We hang out and play board games with the kids and/or friends.

In a different time zone, yes, but not our own. We're geezers and can't really stay up that late, anymore.

Never made a resolution. I don't see the point.

Never really established a tradition, always make it to midnight and I've made a few resolutions stick. We do have a tradition of making very small resolutions - like "we will perfect our chili recipe" or "I will try yoga". Otherwise, you just set yourself up for failure.

Traditionally, DH is on call every NYE.

Is it tradition to hope I can convince everyone to stay in for a game night? Some years it works...
If last year is any indication.. nope.. don't always make it.. But most years I make it to 12:01 and then crash.
        No resolutions.

We always have pork, sauerkraut, and peas for new years. No question.

I don't recall a year I didn't make it to midnight. Last year midnight was magical. This year couldn't possibly live up to last, but we have some fun plans made.

I don't generally make resolutions and the ones I can recall making in the past I never kept more than a couple months.

We do nothing. Honestly, I never got why it was a big deal. Great for folks who love it, though.

We usually cook a nice dinner and recap the previous years highlights. We make a couples resolution to do something to improve our relationship (we've actually kept them most years).

Last year DH was on call and C had a fever so that was awesome. This year, I doubt we make it to midnight...totally not worth the fatigue the next day.

No traditions, but I enjoy setting goals and resolutions. I've learned I'm much more into the visualization than actualization of resolutions. I still enjoy taking stock of various areas of my life, and identifying places that need growth and change. I'm currently (slowly) reading the Power of Habit. Forty percent of what we do each day is knee-jerk habit. Neurological clumps of actions to reduce energy expenses.

One of my favorite NYE memories is with my family down south. They sale an insane amount of fireworks off the roadsides down there. We did an entire show out of my parents driveway. I can't even believe those things are legal down there.

We're going to party this year at a friend's house. We been buried in babies for so many years so I'm shooting for 10:00. Baby steps.

We don't really have any traditions but do usually get a bottle of cheapish champagne and I'm starting to make Jambalaya every year as a new tradition.

We easily stay up til midnight. I'm a night owl.

In not big on resolutions but I've made and kept two for sure:

                  Run a 5k

                  Run a half marathon

We don't have any traditions. I usually make it to midnight watching the ball drop. We've made resolutions in the past but they are almost never carried through on :/

We do family game night, decorate for dd4 birthday the next day and always stay up till midnight. Our neighbor down the road sets off some big ass fireworks, not sure what they are because we didn't go investigate. We put the fruits of the Holy Spirit in a hat and everyone draws one. We try to focus on that particular fruit throughout the year. We're also supposed to discuss how we did the previous year but we're not so good on that part.

Growing up my moms extended family always got together for a party. We would stay up to watch the ball drop, etc. I hate NYE now. I always feel like it is missing something so I always go to bed early. DH is usually working anyway. On the first, I always prepare for Epiphany.
Finally - we are finished with training! Hello real world!!

No real traditions, although my dad's been getting bottles of Cristal from a former patient for years, so we usually drink some of that.

We try to make it to midnight on East Coast time (we're in Central). I think 2 years ago we made it to midnight, but we were at a party and we left very shortly after. I was also annoyed with the hubby because we had recently started TTC and he didn't want me to drink at all.

I try to think of things I'd like to work on for the year, but I never really make resolutions because I don't keep them.
