    Seattle Seahawks

Did you know that when they were at Stanford, Baldwin was teamed up with Sherman as a "big brother" kind of mentor? They both were in the shit house with Harbaugh and helped each other work through the issues. Sherman is a year older and when Harbaugh became an NFL coach, he passed over him I think 10 times in the draft. Even though Sherman was a huge workhorse for him at Stanford. Next year, same shit happened to Baldwin.

After Sherman was signed by the Seahawks, he was instrumental in bringing on Baldwin the next year. They both relish making HUGE plays against Harbaugh's 49ers and essentially giving him the double-bird.

I have no clue what's going on, just that I check the schedule to see if it's a good time to go to Costco. I know, get with the program...

I do think I can hear cheering all the way up on Capitol Hill though. Crazy!

I don't follow the Seahawks much since they're on the other side of the country from me, and I don't follow the NFC as closely as the AFC, but they are definitely a team I have a lot of respect for. I loved that commercial!

As a momma to a kiddo (10-year-old boy) with hearing loss in the greater Seattle area, I can't tell you what a huge impact this has had in our house. We are not really sports watching people and certainly not football. If we were to watch something think Olympics or baseball, but my son was begging to watch the game last week. We have even invited folks over for this Sunday's game. I have a deep philosphical hesitency toward football, but I am loving how great this whole season is making my kiddos feel about themselves. (I'm sure there is some sort of psych study there). This is all to say, I know so little about the sport and the team, but I am having a very hard time finding anything to complain about...

Hi ladies! Gwendolyn, Luanne, east of the Cascades ladies? Did you watch?

I watched the first half and then quit in order to go to ikea.

I'm convinced that if I watch, they do poorly, so apparently I just need to turn off the tv in order for them to turn it around.

Um, yeah -- we watched. Yelled. Screamed. Jumped around. Fought off a heart attack. Holy balls, that game was entirely too close.

We watched and loved the whole experience! So fun! My brother lives in the bay area. He sent a gracious "congrats" txt at the end of the game

Sounds like my husband. I had to leave the room because he was going so crazy!

Super Bowl is going to include a LOT more swearing and screaming in our home than usual.

So what was everyone's reaction to Sherman's after game comments? Truly, I didn't see the big deal and I cut him some slack given the crap he has taken from Crabtree and Harbaugh for awhile now (obviously more from Crabtree but Harbaugh is kind of an ass). Crabtree was even giving him crap at a fundraiser this summer. Sherman was caught at a really emotional time and I find folks trying to vilify him a bit much. Note: I'm an neither a Seahawks or Broncos fan. We do love Golden so will be cheering for the Seahawks in the Super Bowl.

As a funny aside: one of the Catholic schools around here heavily pushes "Golden Tate went here" in their recruitment

I think the entire Sherman brouhaha is one colossal overreaction. Shove a mic in anyone's face right after they make a game winning move that sends their team to the Super Bowl and you'll get an extremely emotional response. Do it to anyone who won a game at the Clink and there will be yelling simply because they can't hear shit over the fans. Doing it to Sherman? Guaranteed gold. He was PISSED that even after all the shit talking from Crabtree, when he (Sherman) tried telling Crabtree "good game" after the Niners' loss, Crabtree straight-armed him in the face mask. Total dickbag move from Crabtree.

I love Sherman. Seriously, I heart this guy. I would HAAAATE him if my team had to play against him, but he's an exceptionally quick-minded, hard-working guy who goes out of his way consistently to help others.

The blow-up on Twitter was beyond disturbing. The amount of racism exhibited was truly appalling and shocked the shit out of me and I have consistently low expectations of people, so that's huge.

Exactly Diggity, I just didn't get the freak out at all. There was absolutely no understanding for Sherman's position at all.

I just watched an interview clip with him on cnn.com and the man is intelligent and well-spoken. He explained himself well, I think.

THIS! He was excited, come on! Most NFL players will go the Super Bowl ONCE in their career if they're LUCKY! Its ridiculous that one post game tirade has him painted as a thug. But like everything else in our world today its all about the instant reaction.
