Grateful to have had a safe move - the drive wasn't bad at all, DS & my dogs were fantastic the whole way here.

Grateful for our moving company - no shiesty behavior, everyone is helpful and has great communication with us.

Grateful for a happy, easy transfer to a local OB who thinks the same way my other (very respected) OB does (TX).

Grateful for interest and incoming offers on our house (!)

This whole week I've been walking around with a "pinch me is this real?" feeling. No one thing has changed, I'm just overwhelmed with gratitude. A few examples, last year we became good friends with one of husband's colleagues, same year/program. Just in the last month or so I've started becoming really good friends with his girlfriend. It's really wonderful. With them we've started hanging out with two other couples or doing ladies only nights. Having a BLAST. Up until this point all of the wives in his specific program have been way, way, way more conservative than me. I've always felt like I'm walking on pins and needles around them. It's such a relief to finally click with some. A few nights ago the 8 of us went on a wine and cheese boat tour, all couples from the program. As I was getting ready that night I was suddenly overwhelmed by this feeling that I will really miss this place when we leave. It's coming to the point where these are the best friends I've had in years, maybe ever.

Yesterday I found a beautiful little overgrown path to the river and was simply struck by its beauty. Then I met up with some friends and stuffed myself on tap wine and $1 oysters. It's so nice to finally feel at home in my life.
