    1. What color is your natural hair? Do you dye it? What color? Highlights? Any gray? Will you go gray or cover it?

Medium/Dark Brown. No dying. A few gray strands here and there but not noticeable. I'll definitely dye it until I'm mostly gray. I'd like to go a really deep, dark brown.

    2. How long is your hair?

    Almost to my chest

    3. Curly, straight, wavy?

Curly, but I usually straighten it

    4. How often do you go to a salon? Do you go to a frou-frou place or something inexpensive? When you go, do you do any treatments?

I went to the same hairstylist at a chain place for 10 years--she was pretty good. I'm trying someone knew my mom found who works out of her home next week. I had to reschedule my first appt because I went into labor

    5. What shampoo, conditioner, or other products do you use?

Trader Joes and occasional salon stuff from TJMaxx

    6. How often do you wash your hair?

Every day. It seems to do best with that.

      1. Vain moment: Blond - never dyed or highlighted. I have natural highlights that frame my face, and get lighter during the summer months.
      (Please don't throw rocks!)
No gray that I can see, but I do have some white hairs. I'd just let it go gray.

      2. A little past my shoulders.

      3. Wavy, but disorganized. With humidity, it attempts to go curly but mostly just frizzed and becomes huge.

      4. I haven't had a haircut in a while... Oops.

      5. Right now, using a Shea butter shampoo and conditioner for curly hair. Still trying to figure out what my hair wants here.

      6. I wash every other day.

I would say it's a medium brown color, but I have lots of other colors of hair that blend in (blonde, red, dark brown). I have dyed it before, but not recently. I do when the mood strikes me. I usually go red. I have done highlights before. I found my first gray hair this year. Son of a bitch! I hope I can only have very little gray for a long time like my mom. She's 56, and has maybe 5 or 6 gray hairs. When I do get a substantial amount of gray, you bet your ass I'm dyeing it.

Yes. I have very, very curly patches, wavy patches and, a couple of semi-straight pieces. I have to usually chemically alter my hair to pick one.

I go to a frou-frou salon about twice a year. I used to get Brazilian Blowouts every 12 weeks, but have since discovered a far more expensive straightening treatment that I love that lasts till your new curly hair comes in the overtake it. I do Yuko treatments.

I use Kerastase Bain Satin 2 Shampoo and Kerastase Lait Vital Conditioner. I occasionally use some thermal protection serum and such too.

As little as I can get away with. Every 3-5 days depending on my activity level.

          1. What color is your natural hair? Do you dye it? What color? Highlights? Any gray? Will you go gray or cover it?

Light brown. Dirty dishwater is what my grandmother calls it. I highlight the crap out if it. 3 colors ( blonde, light blonde, light brown) no gray that I know of and I will cover it

          2.)How long is your hair?
          Middle of my back

          3. Curly, straight, wavy?
Curly naturally but I wear it straight 90%of the time

          4. How often do you go to a salon? Do you go to a frou-frou place or something inexpensive? When you go, do you do any treatments?
6-8 weeks. I go to a frou-frou place. It is hard to find someone to work with curly hair and it cost a lot. I always do a protein treatment since I color my hair so much.

          5. What shampoo, conditioner, or other products do you use?
Most days- Paul Mitchell blonde shampoo and moroccan oil conditioner and Moroccan oil to straighten. For curly hair. Deva curl products.

          6. How often do you wash your hair?
Curly-every other day, straight once a week.

            1. I'm pretty sure my hair would be mostly grey at this point if I let it go. Its usually a medium brown with natural auburn highlights, especially in the summer so I tend to color it between a brown and an auburn.

            2. Right now its just longer then my shoulders, I've thought about going short for summer but I just can't give up my ponytail.

            3. Some natural wave but I straighten it daily.

            4. Since I have a pretty low maintenance cut right now I haven't been in a while and I've been cutting my own bangs. Since I figured out how to do it myself it actually looks pretty good. About every 4 months I'll go to a real salon and let someone trim it unless I decide to go short before then.

            5. Whatever I have at the time, usually cheap stuff to help with color, frizz, dandruff, etc.

            6. Every 3-4 days usually.

              1. Brown with a few (natural) blonde highlights. Those highlights are beginning to turn gray though. I'd like to dye them at some point, but it's not really in the budget at the moment.

              2. Shoulder length. Finally long enough to pull back again!

              3. Pretty straight.

              4. Not often. I probably get it cut every 3-4 months at a Great Clips-like place. I'd love to go more often and somewhere nicer, but... student budget.

              5. Shampoo and conditioner. I buy whatever's cheap. See a theme here?

              6. Usually every other day.

                    1. What color is your natural hair? Do you dye it? What color? Highlights? Any gray? Will you go gray or cover it?

My natural hair is dark brown. I don't currently dye or highlight it, though I used to in college. I may have to return to that though because....yes, I have greys! Thanks mom & grandma! (though it could be worse, my mom was fully grey by 19 - but colored for years and years - and her sister was fully grey by 21). I don't have many currently, and they hide beneath the top layers of my hair so I only notice them when I pull my hair up. Like Cinderella, my DH will routinely pluck them out but honestly...I know there's no use!

                    2. How long is your hair?

Currently it's right at my clavicle. I got 10" cut off in November and miss it. It grows really fast so it'll be back and annoying me before too long, I'm sure!

                    3. Curly, straight, wavy?

When air-dried it's wavy. I usually blow it dry with a round brush so it's straight. In the summer I'll scrunch it curly (it will only get curly with one of those curl-inhancing products that you put in your hair when it's wet and then scrunch it a bunch)

                    4. How often do you go to a salon? Do you go to a frou-frou place or something inexpensive? When you go, do you do any treatments?

Since moving, I've really fallen off the wagon with routine haircuts. I've had 4 haircuts since we moved. 3 of them left me in tears. The fourth one was with my old stylist at home during a break. I decided I'd make quarterly trips back home to see her, but haven't yet. I think last year I got maybe two haircuts, though my hair is so thick I should be more diligent.

                    5. What shampoo, conditioner, or other products do you use?

I rotate through a Nexxus kind, Aveeno, and Bath & Body Works aromatherapy kind. I want to buy really nice shampoo/conditioner but I go through it pretty quickly so I can never justify the cost to myself.

                    6. How often do you wash your hair?

Every other night, but my hair is very thick so it doesn't get greasy. I could probably go longer but never do just because it feels gross to me.

                      1. What color is your natural hair? Do you dye it? What color? Highlights? Any gray? Will you go gray or cover it?
Dishwater blonde/brownish. I do dye it as close to my natural color as possible with highlights and lowlights. I have grays which I cover. Sob!

                      2. How long is your hair?
It's a little shorter than shoulder length.

                      3. Curly, straight, wavy?
My natural hair is wavy, so I use a flat iron to straighten it. (My daughter steered me away from the curly look. LOL)
                      4. How often do you go to a salon? Do you go to a frou-frou place or something inexpensive? When you go, do you do any treatments?
I go in once a month or every 6 weeks now. When I was younger, I went in once every 2 years! I always get my lip/eyebrows waxed otherwise, as Alex says "Mom, you have thicker mustache than me!"

                      5. What shampoo, conditioner, or other products do you use?
Whatever is cheap and on sale.

                      6. How often do you wash your hair?
Twice or three times a week.

                        1. What color is your natural hair? Do you dye it? What color? Highlights? Any gray? Will you go gray or cover it?

Dark brown with red undertones. I dye it various colors. I currently have highlights. Lots of gray (that's why I color it).

                        2. How long is your hair?

Mid-back when straight, couple of inches below the shoulders natural.

                        3. Curly, straight, wavy?

All three. My hair has multiple-personality disorder.

                        4. How often do you go to a salon? Do you go to a frou-frou place or something inexpensive? When you go, do you do any treatments?

                        Every 2-4 months.

                        5. What shampoo, conditioner, or other products do you use?

Varies. I use Ouidad for gel and conditioning spray.

                        6. How often do you wash your hair?

                        1-2 times a week.
