My hobbies include farting around on the internet, watching tv, audiobooks, cooking, golfing, card games.

A mix of both. I'd like to be more active, but I definitely gravitate towards sedentary activities.

I like a mix of one-on-one and small groups best. I'd prefer not to be alone most of the time, but I am alone a lot. If I wasn't alone often, I'm sure I'd crave that.

I like to do almost everything with my hubby and kids. I guess my family is my main focus. I find them fun. I'd love it if my hubby liked to dance.

Travel, travel, travel. I'd love to go somewhere new for a week or two 6-8 times a year, I think. There are so many places I want to go. I need Chad to be retired, and for us to be independently wealthy.

      1. What are your hobbies?
Reading, photography, making photo books, travel, eating out, and playing online video games

      2. Do you prefer to be active or sedentary in your free time?
      Sedentary

      3. Do you prefer group or solo activities in general?
Usually solo, but I'm starved for company these days, so I'm loving group activities if I can find some

      4. Do you share hobbies with your spouse or kids? What hobbies do you wish that you shared that you don't? Are there any hobbies that you share that you wish you didn't?
We both play the same video game, usually at least a little every day after the kids go to bed. I love that we share that hobby. It's a complex game, so we find ourselves talking about it a lot. We're total nerds!
I wish he took a little more interest in photography. I love taking pictures, but I try to avoid being That Person on Facebook, so nobody really sees most of them. If I ask him to look at them, he does cheerfully, but I know he really isn't interested.

      5. What hobby would you like to take up if you had the resources (time, money, etc.)
I would love to take horseback riding lessons.

        1. What are your hobbies?
Thrift shopping, antiquing, reading, Judaism, crafting, movies, baking, genealogy, swimming, organizing, volunteering/advocacy/fundraising . . .

        2. Do you prefer to be active or sedentary in your free time?
My hobbies are pretty sedentary though I'm a rather athletic shopper.

        3. Do you prefer group or solo activities in general?
I like a mix. For instance, I enjoy reading on my own but I look forward to discussing the book with my book club. Genealogy is a rather solitary hobby but I enjoy connecting with previously unknown family members and sharing our knowledge. I probably err on the side of group activities.

        4. Do you share hobbies with your spouse or kids? What hobbies do you wish that you shared that you don't? Are there any hobbies that you share that you wish you didn't?

I really don't. Most of my interests are traditionally feminine and DrK is more into traditionally masculine interests (weight lifting, aviation, superheros...). I wish DrK and I at least enjoyed the same movies but he's into action films and I prefer foreign/independent movies, period dramas, and kind of nontraditional stuff. I try to share my hobbies with the children. For instance, I casually mention various ancestors and things I know about them so the boys will have a sense of the family history. ("I'm so glad you like swimming. Did you know that your great-grandmother J, who you are named after, swam every morning until she was 90?") K1 likes doing some of the things I enjoy but IDK whether he'll be interested when he's older; he's always enjoyed going to yard sales and he's a pretty good little negotiator, we are starting to read chapter books together and he really likes books. K2 likes to help in the kitchen; he seems to really like drawing and movies too. Both boys like swimming so maybe they can grow into that with me. Maybe Lambie will be interested in more of my hobbies.

        5. What hobby would you like to take up if you had the resources (time, money, etc.)[/QUOTE]

Travel -- which might actually be something I could do with DrK. I'd like to learn how to play the piano. Home decorating -- like the serious stuff that involves tearing down walls. Serious cooking or baking, as in going to chef school or learning to be a pastry chef. I'd like to get my professional organizer's certification. I'd like to take religion classes. I'd like to make going to museums, theaters, and spas a regular thing.

Depends. I like being active (hiking, running errands, travel) but I really sometimes want nothing more than to curl up with a good book and not move from the sofa. And I don't get read as often as I would like anymore.

I prefer group activities. Most of my activities are better with others, but I still can only read, do genealogy, and shop on my own. There's only a few people I can shop with - it's more of an individual thing.

DH likes traveling, hiking and being a foodie. We love going on vacations together, planning trips and exploring new locales. He is the one that got me into hiking, and I think we both came into this relationship loving food lol. I wish we shared another hobby, not sure which one I would choose. He runs a lot, and I've done a 5K or two, but I won't be sharing that hobby with him. That's what friends are for lol.

Hmmm, good question! I would do genealogy on a more regular basis, that's for sure, versus getting lost in it for a few hours on a weeknight. Which usually results in being hyped about some ancestor and trying to make DH understand why it's a big deal and that it was necessary to stay up until 12am to do the research, lol. And travel would be a big one - just go off on trip after trip.
