And I must say this thread made me feel old. It has been a long, long, long time since I attended any friends weddings. I am now attending their children's weddings!!!!

I know I just bashed weddings and gowns but this is what my bride friend wore at that recent wedding. So completely her and stunning. (they're both musicians as well so no wonder they went a little off the beaten path)

I had no idea what you meant by ball sign DD!
Ha, I was going in a very different direction
Married to a newly minted Pediatric Rad, momma to a sweet girl and a bunch of (mostly) cute boy monsters.

We usually really enjoy going to weddings no matter how big or small they are. I think the only thing that can be bit awkward is when you don't know anyone except for the couple, but that's pretty unusual.

It depends. I loved my wedding but hated the whole planning of it mostly because the wedding industry tries to guilt you into the doing was in style, etc. I wanted a true religious ceremony because I believed everyone in that room (that we invited)needed and needs to hold us accountable to uphold our vows. We wanted our guests to be people that were important in our lives and who we would turn to when things got tough in our marriage. I also love weddings from other cultures and beliefs because I feel a greater intimacy with the bride or groom for letting me into that part of their lives.

I have to admit that the only weddings I hate are the ones that appear to be a production or show....you know the ones where the bride ends up crying because the DJ did not play the correct song as they walked in to the ballroom.
