Cranky Wife to a Peds EM in private practice. Mom to 5 girls - 1 in Heaven and 4 running around in princess shoes. -
Attention please, my SIL is GONE and DD2 slept in her own room last night!!!!! She usually averages being awake every 2-3 hours and last night she was up for 2 minutes at 12:30 (she had fallen off her floor bed), nursed at 5:25 and I WOKE HER UP to go running at 7:15....now if she could only do that on a weekend, it would be glorious.Married to a Urology Attending! (that is an understated exclamation point)

Oh and I cleaned the fridge of all the science experiments that were happening up in there. Seriously, shit was weird.
On the downside, I have a feeling that my evenings are going to be pretty lonely since DH rarely makes it for dinner right now. At least I could usually count on her to be home by 7:30...but, let's think about the positive!Married to a Urology Attending! (that is an understated exclamation point)

Three and a half weeks ago, I fell off my bike and hurt my thumb. The next morning it was so swollen, I couldn't bend it at all! I didn't go in because it didn't really hurt if I didn't touch it, so I iced it all day long and didn't use it much.
It still hurts and I finally went and had x-rays taken this morning after asking Dr. Vanquisher to write an order so I could avoid paying for an office visit that could prove to be pointless.
He said it isn't broken and is likely just a really bad sprain, given that there is no instability in the joint. Wahoo for saving the $250+ consult fee for the ortho. And I am overjoyed that I don't need surgery.KrisComment
