We spent several hours with dear friends, having a delicious 3 course meal and just talking and laughing. It was great to get our mind off of what has happened.
We used our free time to go shopping for clothes for DH. It was fun! We found some stuff to replace his ratty old shirts and we both bought ourselves a pair of Sperrys. I've wanted some forever! He's agreed to dress a little more preppy and it's so much fun! I didn't even balk when the shirts at the Gap he picked out weren't on sale

It's now Saturday, but what the hay: My good Friday news was that I got to travel home to be with my family for a whole week! It took 13 hours of bus/plane/layover time to get here, but so worth it
My good Saturday news is that DH flies out to join me tomorrow It's been a super rough week for us, so this vacation is well timed.
PA and wife of a PGY2 in neurosurgery. And "cat-mom" to the two sweetest cats anyone could hope for.
It was DH's birthday on Friday. He just wanted to stay in and make dinner so we opened a bottle of wine and relaxed. Then he finished some homework before bed..... But I watched Netflix. Saturday I surprised him with an adventure in the local national park!
