I refuse to turn socks right side out for the 11 year old. They get washed inside out and sent back to him that way... I do help the 5 year old, but now that her cast is off, that free ride is going to come to an end shortly.

What would happen if you stopped washing them if they didn't get to laundry room? If he runs out of socks, oh well!

But maybe that would backfire because boys are gross and he'd just wear dirty ones.

I don't wash anything that gets left in his bedroom. But, as we only have 1 full bath, I end up taking care of the stuff in the bathroom, just so I can use it.

Omg. Plus, can you imagine cross country practice without socks? I mean I know you want to prove a point, but I think it would take a long time to recover from those blisters. If it's just school or a Saturday, then sure, no socks, no prob (but that probably won't even bother him all that much...).
