We live in the same city and I haven't noticed this. Then again I don't spend time in women's locker rooms or yoga classes. I think I saw this just once over the summer but can't remember where. Anyway, yeah, not attractive.

I've only noticed it in gym settings. Once it was in barre class, which is a pretty uncrunchy workout if you ask me.

        Shaving your pits

Gross, it doesn't take long. That to me in like bikini line in a swim suit. Either cover it up or take care of it

Yes, I'm not one to skip it for more than a few days. It only takes 2 minutes, and doesn't require much effort. My legs however, are another story. I'm happy I own a lot of tights. Lol

Hair removal has been going on for ages, though. It isn't all from the razor industry.

In the winter I don't shave often but that's because it's hidden. Long hair grosses me out. And I'm pretty crunchy.

That article is specifically about pubic hair, and the original post was specifically about armpit hair, but it's all much of a muchness. As that article points out, It's all sexist BS. I don't judge people who want to be hairless, it's too bad so many don't return the favor. *shrug*

I think it went in to body hair as well --- from what I've read there is a hundreds year old Muslim custom of hairless women from their wedding night on. It's ritual. Can you comment on that Momo? Honestly, other readings talk about historical shaving and men. Let's face it, we have a body hair hang up. It's all associated with way more than just hair, mostly for women, yes -- but also for men.

Mine shaves his legs, which can be...interesting, but I've never understood chest shaving or waxing. OMG the prickle when it grows in must be horrifying!

I went to a hippy liberal college. While there I learned to admire a female aesthetic either *with* a mature human woman's velvety underarms and plush pelted legs, or with those areas scraped hairless. I've grown my lovely hairs, I've shaved, I've forgotten to shave and been a stubbly mess for years. In the end it's pretty much my own business, right?

I'd love it if DH kept many areas hairless. I'd be thrilled if I could get him to shave his face every day!! I just prefer no hair. It just seems cleaner to me, right or not.

I love DH clean shaven and luckily it takes him forever to grow any hair anyways, so he usually shaves. I hate when he goes through his I'm gonna try and grow a goatee phase.

Ugh. Mine always does this "vacation beard" thing. I hate it. But..., I mean, I don't shave my legs every day, so what can you do?
