Do you gamble? Do you go to the races, the casinos, or play the lottery?

Generally, both DH and I are a resounding NO. We have purchased a few lottery tickets through the years. I loathe casino atmosphere and I don't like to drink so I'm not thinking about Vegas anytime soon.

This past weekend I went to the horse races and did bet small amounts. (I took $40 to gamble, ended up only betting less than $20 and had a net loss of $11). It was fun, but apparently my brain doesn't light up like some people do.

I feel like our life has had enough drama/high stakes. LOL. No seriously, what's your pleasure?

We don't gamble either. Honestly I've done Lotto tickets a couple of times but I never win, so why bother.

Nope, we don't gamble even a little bit. I have no desire and don't see it as fun.

I have bought a few Powerball tickets before, but no casinos or other types of gambling. No desire to either. DH is the same way.

DH enjoys it sometimes… He'll occasionally play poker or do things like fantasy football. For me, I really get no pleasure out of it (I'm too risk averse to enjoy it).

Every time I've gone to casinos I've spent all of my money at the bar...

No. DH likes to play cards, but doesn't really have much opportunity.

Hubby likes to buy Powerball tickets occasionally when the jackpot is huge and he can dream about everything he'd buy. We did enjoy playing some slots in Vegas, but mostly because drinks are free if you have money in the machine, so we'd put a few bucks in and slowly play the minimum. I'd also cash out almost any time I was ahead (think up to $3 after putting in $1), so it's not like we put big money into it.

I buy lottery tickets when I have a bad day at work. A coworker and I have gone in on them more than once!

I enjoy it on a low stakes level. I've been playing poker since I was a little kid and I actually got kicked out of the state of Nevada for hitting a jackpot when I was only 13.

I used to play $3 blackjack once a week with an overall track record. I refuse to play slots, lottery, or anything where the odds are horrendous. So basically I stick with poker and blackjack. I really just love card games though even if it's just for fun with no money involved. I'm always trying to get my DD's to play gin rummy with me.

It's funny to me, because these are the ones I hate the most. I don't want anything where I have to think or actually try. I go in feeling like I'm spending money on entertainment, not to actually win anything, and I don't spend more than a certain amount (like $20 or something).

See and I feel entertained by being intellectually stimulated, probably because I'm around my kids all day and enjoy the strategy aspect.

Pure chance games aren't much fun for me, but I went in with coworkers when they played the lotto because I secretly feared being the only one left to do all the work!

I love playing 5 Card Draw and 7 Card Stud, but Texas Hold 'Em is a bad game for me because I can't make myself bet enough to keep up. I just slowly bleed dry, even when I'm winning hands.

I don't buy them just bc they seem pointless but my dad buys scratch offs every once in a while and two weeks ago he won $20k. So there's that.
