  • Vanderbilt MDs Reality Show

I feel like this is Real World meets Grey's Anatomy.

    http://www.usanetwork.com/vanderbiltmds

I kind of want to watch it because I feel like it's going to be so ridiculous.

This is the second reality show to follow residents around Vanderbilt (http://www.mc.vanderbilt.edu/reporte...x.html?ID=2847), and they're making them LIVE together? From the "sneak peek" it seems very "real world" to me. And this is supposed to be "what life is REALLY like for a doctor in training"? *snort*

I probably will, too; I'm a sucker for this crap. Looks like the first episode should air this Thursday.

Lol, dh works there and hasn't heard a thing about it. Of course it's not the type of thing he would give credence to. Umm, you're supposed to be training not trying to be TV stars.

From a friend who is a general surgery resident at Vandy:

No general surgery residents were "featured"- I kid you not, I heard a producer tell someone that we work too much and weren't interesting outside of the hospital.

                        Vanderbilt MDs Reality Show

They're featuring the new trauma surgeon attending but it looks like they're all EM residents so they must only be following them during their trauma surgery rotation. Guess they thought that was the most exciting one for TV *groan*.

I just thought it was terribly ironic when the dude that said he had ADD and was having real trouble focusing on residency. Sooooo you thought being on a reality tv show would help you focus on medicine? Sure. Makes sense.

Our friend is IM, not EM, so it's not completely EM.

Did anyone think the trauma surgeon doc was a little absurd with the "blue steel" poses to the camera? I laughed so hard.
