I actually just turned it off after 15min. I'd rather watch how to get away with murder... At least for now.

After the first 15 minutes or so it got a bit old. It's obviously got some scripting or at least heavy direction. I was laughing at the motivational speech to all the residents on day one, because we know that happens. And all the followup with the patients, because they have so much time to make friends with them all.

I did see my friend in it, which was fun though.

*snort*. Can the trauma surgeon fellow be any more stereotypical? Nobody held a gun to his head to move into this house with a bunch of interns and second years. I'm sure they're playing it up, and the editing isn't painting him in a very flattering light, but still. I notice they said there were supposed to be 8 people, but only 7 are actually on the show, which makes me wonder what happened to that last person.

Also, how is it a cost savings for them to move in together, if they just moved in with a suitcase for a couple months? Presumably they all have actual homes to go to, too. Or did they just mean that getting the money for being on the show would help financially?

The cardiac patient's fiancee reminds me of a friend from here who was married to another med student.

13 minutes in. Initial thoughts (in no particular order):

                  "BOOOOO"
"God I hope he doesn't go by just 'Train'"
"Oh, you moved into this really nice, well appointed house to 'save on bills', not because the network thought it would create more drama? Riiiiight"
"Why are we supposed to care that you weren't always 'tall and skinny' - is that really the 'obstacle' you want to cite when explaining how you've had drive your whole life?"
                  "UGHHHHHHHHH"
"I like Louis. He seems sort of normal at least. Like he's not super into some of their potential shenanigans."
"'Beast Mode?' No. Just no. Fuck you. Get out."
"'We're emergency medicine, we're the rockstars.' BOOOOOOOOOOOOO. I bet every other specialty EVER thinks the same thing. You sound like a douche."
"Yep. He goes by 'Train'. I just can't."
"I'm super into Louis. Don't mess with his sleep cycle. Amen, Louis. Amen."

22 minutes in: these people may actually be too boring to produce any watchable drama. I've heard grown men talk about fanny packs for waaay too long already.

OH FUCK YES THERE'S A BEAGLE. MORE BEAGLE!

That wasn't the trauma surgeon, that was one of the EM residents.

I hate to break it to Louis, because he does seem like the most normal of the bunch, but dude, you chose EM. Your sleep cycle is going to get fucked with. And you're going to be woken up when you need to sleep during the day unless you live in your very own single-family house with NO OTHER PEOPLE IN IT, and with REALLY GOOD BLACKOUT CURTAINS, and you remember to TURN OFF ALL PHONES (DH is on overnights right now, and on Friday, he got woken up by the phone, twice).

The beagle is adorable. I must say that as stupid as the whole fanny pack thing was, I was impressed with the way he got that patient's mom smiling with it.

Lol. You can see it wasn't cutting the mustard on keeping my attention! That makes his beast mode comment even more vomit worthy.
