Also for anyone celebrating from a Christian perspective, this book is awesome. We read it one advent when I was about 9 and it was really memorable.

We're doing the Lego Friends Advent calendar. Today, the 2nd, was HARD! Anyone else have trouble building that sled?

        Here's mine:

My mom has a similar one that she bought at a Christmas craft fair when were kids (her's is red and then only goes to 24, but pretty darn similar). My sister found it on etsy three years ago and got one for all of us.

It's a PB kids from a few years back. I don't see anything like it on their website now. I dont' like their new advent calendars as much

I do think the windows on our advent calendar are very small. This is probably only an issue if your have 4+ kids, but I would still find something more spacious. Most of the windows are only 2 x 2 x 1 (maybe) inch.

That's like the one we had growing up, except each pocket FULLY held the ornament, so it was a surprise, and the ornaments had a loop and the tree had beads to hang them from. Like this one: http://www.make-it-do.com/wp-content...1/IMG_4880.jpg

I have no idea, I just googled for a picture. There's this one that's a pattern for $14: https://www.etsy.com/listing/161472396 - that's actually a little closer to the one we had, except I liked our ornaments better, and ours was pretty big, I think there were just two or three rows of pockets along the bottom, and it used those interlocking three-pointed beads over sequins instead of buttons to hang the ornaments from...I have NO idea where my parents got it. It was probably sometime in the 70s, though. Possibly as late as early 80s. I bet my dad still has it hidden away somewhere.
