What kind of car do you drive?

2007 Camry. Have not yet started looking into whatever I will get next, or thought about when that will be. Probably something that seats more than four people, though. Husband is ahead of me in line for a new car, looking to trade up from his Yaris this summer, currently researching hybrid vs. plug-in hybrid.

2011 Chrysler Town & Country. I love it for the most part. The one big repair was under warranty so no terrible complaints. Hoping for a Suburban next time or another T&C.

[MENTION=915]SuzySunshine[/MENTION] DH and I both drove used Audis in MN. If we could fit as a family, I'd go back to an Allroad in a second. It handled incredibly in the snow and was fun to drive. Never had one of their SUVs, but they sure look cool!

I need help with this. I'm currently driving an assumed-lease SMART, which I actually adore, except that I'm beyond tired of having to shovel and salt to get up our sloped driveway, and except that it's SO cheap that the dealership treats me like a second-class citizen for not having a mercedes (I got spoiled by having an infiniti for 18.5 years - they treat their customers well).

The lease ends in mid-June, and we move in July, and I'll need to get a car after we move. I have NO IDEA what to get. I *love* the fact that the SMART is tiny and very fuel-efficient (not even hybrid, and it gets 40mpg), but I want luxury. We're moving to a place where it almost never snows, and DH has an AWD vehicle, so that's not as much of a consideration. I like what I've seen of the BMW i3, but it's relatively new, and *so* expensive - I don't think I'm ready to spend $50K+. We don't have that many years to retirement, and need to save like crazy people to be comfortable then. I'd love to see a list of all cars available in the US, listed by total length, and just start at the shortest and eliminate from there, but that kind of list apparently doesn't exist (that I've been able to find).

My infiniti was my first car, and I kept it for 18.5 years, and loved it, and loved keeping it that long, but now I'm not sure if I want to lease to not be tied to something that I might not love for that long, or what.

I know I just need to sit down and decide what my priorities really are (money, size, fuel efficiency, luxury, etc.) Any ideas would be appreciated, though!

I'm no help, but I just wanted to say that I think the i3s look so awesome! I would totally get one of I could.
This is probably not luxe enough for what you're looking for, but my dad got a Honda CRZ a couple years ago, and it's super short (2 seater) and fun to drive.

I really like Subarus, but they're not practical for us. DH is 6'3" and DS is already almost my height (5'6") and he's only 12.

We test drive vehicles at least once with DH sitting in the back seats because our youngest will likely be taller than him. We want to make sure DS will be comfortable in the back seats.

This is our issue (no idea if I like Subarus or not lol but the rest applies). DS #1 is 6'6, and although his days of traveling with us are mostly over, he has been able to join us for some long road trips since he went to college, so I still want to have room for him. DS #2 (junior in HS) is 6'1, and DS #3 (7th grade, 13) is 6'0. So space is definitely an issue. Also, we regularly (1-2 times a year) take long road trips and it is awesome to have room for ourselves and our luggage. I have tried to consider something smaller for my next vehicle, because I do get tired of parking what I have, but I just can't wrap my head around anything smaller, yet. I think I will always want an SUV....I have driven one since 2001 and I am used to being up high.

Poky you sound like you are looking at the same class of cars as my DH. He's looking at that BMW, the Audi S4, Lexus IS 350 Sport, some Cadillac, the Infiniti Q50 (I think, is that what replaced the 35?), and it seems like there was another one. I think he'll end up with the Lexus but we'll see...

ETa: never mind it's not the i3, not sure which one he's looking at. They're all 4 door AWD sedans

I drive a 2007 Honda Odyssey which I adore!!!! My husband drives a 2005 diesel Ford truck which he adores. ( It is way too big and too loud for me!) The boys drive a 2010 Honda Civic.. We love Hondas. My husband's car was a 1990 Honda Accord which we finally got rid of in 2010 to get the Civic for the boys to drive. We wanted something that had more up to date safety features, but we both shed a tear getting rid of that car. We actually donated it to church that gave it to a single mom. It was still a good car.

I drive a 2014 Kia Cadenza. I love it! It's sporty for a full size sedan and drives beautifully. It has all the bells and whistles and has a different look so it really stands out. I never, ever thought I'd have a car like this so I'm very happy with it

I have a Porsche Cayenne for when I take kids, the Ferrari when I'm on my own, and dh drives a Lamborghini. He is a surgeon you know.

Hmmm. I drive a 2008 suburban that is great. We got an awesome deal on it-- crazy awesome-- brand new car for under 30K$. So it's a winner. And payed for. Woohoo!!

Dh drives a 2014 Chevy traverse which is ok- base model no bells and whistles but it has a warranty and that's great. We needed a new motor on our suburban at about 40K mi so we are believers in warranties.

We are shopping for a 3rd car for when we have visitors and our other cars break down. I have my eye on a sweeeet 2006 Nissan Sentra with only 42000 miles for only $5k. It's ugly and plain, but it would do the job and no one would bother breaking into it.

Dh did drive a Lamborghini by the way. Well he called it the Lamborghini but it was actually a 1996 Nissan Sentra stick with a salvage title that he drove the last year of fellowship bc dd19 took over his car- a dented and rusted 2002 camry.

I drive a '99 Honda odyssey and DH drives an '01 Nissan Altima. The Nissan DH had when we got married and the van was my in-laws which they very generously gave to us a couple years ago when we needed a second car. Neither are fancy but they do the job and we are happy to have them. I never thought I'd be a van person but I love my minivan now.

Miss the VW campervan we had until we had three kids! We got all round Europe after first born. Wife had 6 months paid maternity leave so off we went. Photos non digital but my favourites are washing line of nappies tied to vw on beach and us with van beneath Acropolis. Travelling with breastfed baby a doddle! Happy days.
