Did you know you can online thrift shop??? I mean it's obvs more expensive than if you went to an actual thrift store but it's searchable by size, brand, etc. Amazing!!!

I searched on ThredUp today and found lots of cute things! All much cheaper than a store. I have a code for friends for $20 off if anyone wants to use it.

I was amazed! I never find anything on consignment in my size and yet here are tons of clothes in my size.

ThredUp is where I got almost all of my maternity clothes the second time around.

My first ThreadUp box is coming on Monday!! I'm so excited. We only have one decent consignment store here and I've combed it thoroughly the last few months so I'm crossing my fingers I guessed right on the sizes. I refuse to pay full price for any item of clothing I buy right now in hopes I won't be at this size 6 months from now (baby weight and all that).

So I got my ThredUp box yesterday -- I ordered 15 tops, fully expecting to have to send back half of them because I always do for one reason or another.... I'm sending back 3. This never happens. I have clothes now! That fit! Hope you have as good of luck as I did!

The quality and condition of everything I received was really nice. Out of 15 pieces I found one tiiiiiny little hole at the bottom of one of the shirts, otherwise they all look brand new.

How exactly does ThredUp work?

Like a consignment shop but from your house which is searchable by size/brand/color/etc. It's more expensive than consignment for sure ($15 for a shirt that would be $4-6 on consignment) but it doesn't involve dragging my kids to a million consignment shops to find the very few things that fit and aren't overly worn. I've NEVER had good luck at those places and don't get the "thrill of the hunt" so this works for me. Honestly, I get the sense that it's mostly people who are cleaning out their closet of like-new clothes that they just don't wear for whatever reason.

We'll see if I like what I get. But you can also return it which is really nice (shorter window than retail but still time to try on and send back).

As a heads up, they do free return shipping but unless you go for the store credit option they charge a $9 "restock" fee. I didn't see it mentioned on the website (it very well could be on there, I didn't look closely) but it said so on my packing slip that came with my box.
