DH did over 1,600 cases in residency! This podcast says they can only prove he was in 100!! 100!! I just am amazed that he graduated from what is a decent program.

The follow up says that UT claims he did 600ish but there’s no record of that.
And DH is robot proctored for his first few cases but not all the types of surgeries Dr Death was doing may require that.
Yes, his advisors were investors in his company. The most awkward part of the entire thing is the recorded phone call of his fellowship advisor basically saying that he cannot advise other hospitals that he’s not adequately trained even after it was brought to his attention that the guy was super dangerous.
I honestly hope they lose their residency certification or are severely censured. Programs need to graduate safe doctors. There is no way for the general public to know enough about training to select safe doctors otherwise.

Definitely not at *this* level, though. (hopefully ha)

I agree the last episode I heard they had subpoena'd the hell out of all levels and 100-ish cases was the only documentation they could get. Even 600 isn't enough in a 7 year residency! There have to be pockets to make these people whole, this is a complete break down of the system!Wife to NSG out of training, mom to 2, 10 & 8, and a beagle with wings.
