Is anyone else just really overwhelmed by the victim/survivor news still coming in about the Tsunami. I heard one report that when all is said and done that the death toll may reach as high as 400,000. That was several days ago, and I don't know if its been changed, but the current toll (well over 100,000) is just shocking. I watched the story of a mom who had to choose between her children. She had two with her and had to choose which one to let go of in order to save herself and one child. She had a 4 and a 2 year old and decided to let go of the 4 year old. The 4 year old miraculously survived but I can't help wondering the effect that making that choice will have on both the mom and the little boy!
It really makes you realize how good we have it, and how much we should be grateful for what we do have. It's so easy to get caught up in the day to day struggles that we all have...This certainly puts things into perspective!
