      Re: I fell........UPDATE

This hold works on my 2 1/2 YO. She is notoriously bad about taking medicine and I had to come up with *something* when I was the only one home and she needed to take her next dose.

Get the medicine, etc. ready to roll along with a couple of wipes.

Grab the kiddo and lay him on his back on your bed. Sit so that you are straddling him--his head toward you. You can put one of his arms under each of your legs and squeeze a bit to keep his head still. If he's a kicker, you can bend your legs enough to pin his feet down with your feet.

This leaves both of your hands free--one to pry open the mouth and one to pour in medicine.

Sounds awful, but it worked for us for a long time. DD has since decided it's easier to just take the medicine! We still have to do that for the nose-sucker, though.

      Hope that helps!

Wow, that sucks- I know having recently done it myself. The bruises and pain just last and last.

Even now, I make my poor husband rub that foot because after a full day, it hurts- and mine wasn't even broken. (I'm just old)

Any chance you'll get some help at home? We can rally the iMSN troops in your vacinity. There are surely a few!

I'm glad you were able to get in to the doctor to get everything checked out. Try to stay off your feet as much as you can....wishful thinking, I know....

I'm so glad that you went in and got all fixed up! And thank goodness the cost wasn't too outrageous (though any extra expenses are a bummer this time of year!).
