I got a sewing machine shortly after our first child was born and had visions of sewing darling little dresses for her. I do have some basic sewing skills and pull it out from time to time, but haven't quite gotten to those dresses yet.
    Awake is the new sleep!

            Dagny -

My wedding sari hangs on the wall in my dining room, so I'll take a picture and post it (now that i CAN). It was pretty, but I liked the one I wore for my reception more, although I think all pictures of that one are pre-digital. I'll also post my skirt (in the call room, b/c I'm wearing it).

The brown chenille is from JoAnn fabrics. Sari fabric can be had VERY cheaply online. Ebay has a great store called indianartcart, bluemoon_stuff, and uniqueessentials. The fabric for the skirt came from bluemoon_stuff and cost $10 for 6 yards (the size of a sari).

It doesn't photography as pretty as it looks. All of the beading was hand-done.
