That is SO funny, Luanne! I'm so ready to back out of this graduation party that I was telling you about. I have nothing decent to wear and I can tell that dh isn't really excited about me going anyway. I wasn't on my best behavior at the last get together and I'm sure he's dreading a potential encounter between this gal and me. :argue: Heidi would drag me onto the Smackdown bus, I know.... Just not feeling up to it...

Oh, honey, a "potential encounter" is why you must go! I know you don't feel like going, I have one on the 17th that I am so looking forward to as well , but we must persevere!

If your dh is worried about you, then I need to bring the smackdown bus and lay it on him! He should be worried about that tramp for fear you punch her out. I seriously doubt anything is going to happen, but you need to show that you are there with your man, and he is not for the taking!

I get to go to a graduation banquet full of size 2 dawkter's wives on the 17th. Last year I had to go BY MYSELF as dh was on call. That sucked. Just look at it as a chance to get out with your husband, have a few cocktails or some wine and dinner on them.

What are you wearing? Are these things dressy?

I'm so chickenshit (are we allowed to swear on this board?)

No kidding. Size 2 dawkters' wives. At least it's at night...and will be dark... I'm going to need another kick in the pants from you come Thursday, guys.

          Sorry to hijack this.

I will enjoy every moment of it!

Literally, I think that after I am done with residency, I am going on a campaign to get the truth out. First, it should start with a book. Fiction or Non-Fiction? I haven't decided. I shall march on Wahington and demand better working conditions for residents and fellows. I will tour the nation giving speaking engagments at medical schools and wherever anyone will hear me about the lives that dawkter's lead. I will pitch a documentary to the Discovery Channel about the lives of physician spouses. Perhaps I will make that documentary myself. Anyone mind if I come stay with them for a week? Hmm, novelist, lobbyist, filmmaker?

Seriously, it is becoming my calling in life to stop the overboard agony that is medical training and let everyone know how hard it really is! Is there a downside to telling off the attendings in your program after you are finished with training? :>

            Dream vacation: Back to topic!

I would love to go to a very secluded couples resort - like Turtle Island in Fiji. You know those vacations super famous people go on? Some of those would be good too. I want to see Europe and Japan, Thailand. I would like to see Australia. I want to go to the Caribbean. I want Disney World to myself.

Heidi, will you be my date for the resident banquet?

And...it's non-medical, but can you have the bus swing by my garage sale next week to smack down MIL's relatives? They are in desperate need. Pretty please?

Ours is pretty smancy. I am wearing a black skirt and a black blouse with silver beaded v-neck.

I am allowed to swear when apropos! :>

I would gladly be your date!

As for IL's, I think they need a special section on the Smackdown Bus.

Heidi, do you realize that you can now add another title to your resume? The official Bus Driver for MSN. The job and title are officially yours. (Can I do that as an administrator?).

I want to spend a month floating in a sail boat in the middle of the mediterrainian (sp?). All I need is a swim suit and a bottle of oil. I could care less who is there.
