1 or 2 days, no cork and no vacu-vin: stick some tin foil in the top and leave it on your counter, not the end of the world
up to 1 week: vacu-vin it (that is the little gizmo people are referring to) and put in in the refrigerator
more than 1 week: put red wine in tupperware or a freezer ziploc, freeze it, and use it for cooking. Works really well.
