There's been quite a buzz around our house the past two days . . . literally! Behind our house is a huge Christmas tree farm that is on quite a slope. See below:
That picture was taken on Tuesday, when we had a rare snow event in November. (Maybe an inch at most).
Anyways, I've been wondering how they would harvest the trees. Now I know. I was in our bedroom putting stuff a way when a helicopter buzzed our window. It was so close that it seemed I could touch it. My dd has waived to the pilot several times and he waves back!
The helicopter picks up several trees at a time and take them to truck sitting at the end our street and very precisely dumps it in the truck. It's quite fascinating!
And, while I was neglecting my kids to take these pictures, I returned to find this:
