Just wondering if anyone else out there is pregnant or trying?

    I am preggers!

    How far along are you?

    31 weeks!

    How are you feeling?

Feeling pretty good, although I am starting to feel uncomfortable when I sleep. Somedays I feel huge, others I think I am I pregnant, and that is when the baby gives me a huge wallop of kick, and I think "Yep, still pregnant!" People tell me I am pretty small for being due in January. Although I have to admit I am starting to get tired of being pregnant, because I have essentially been pregnant since last Jan. (got pregnant about 2 weeks after a miscarriage)

Have you had an ultrasound yet? I have had 2! I had one at 7 weeks to make sure that a fetus had developed and to check my date. I got pregnant immediately following a miscarriage that happened due to the fetus not developing. The other ultrasound was at 20 weeks, everything looked perfect and wonderful!

Do you know what you are expecting?

    We are having a girl!

    Have you picked out names?

We are still discussing, and probably won't choose one until she is born.... BUT our favorites are Emma Christine, Madison, Makana. We will see, this has been the toughest part so far. Whatever I like at a given moment Matt isn't crazy about and vice versa.

Congrats Cricket - that is wonderful news. Sorry to hear about the miscarriage, but it sounds like everything worked out in the long run.

I hear you on the fat versus pregnancy thing. I recall having fights with Matthew when he was inside my stomach. What a reminder that I was in fact pregnant!! I am only in my 9th week and have not gained any weight, but already I feel fat. I am soooo bloated.

Wow - not too much longer before you will have a bundle of joy. Don't worry too much about the name thing - it will all fall into place when the time comes.

Again, congratulations on your pregnancy and impending child. Keep us posted on your progress.

                Well-

For the first time in my 35 years I'm not actively trying to prevent getting pregnant. Which is a truly bizarre experience for both of us. We both had some major scares in our early 'single' years and have been pretty stringent about birth control ever since.

We'll give it a year and if nothing happens- it's off to the Foster care system. Actually, we may do that anyway as Rick is adopted and feels pretty strongly about giving a child the same kind of chance that he had.

We waited until I finished the marathon so - no excuses left!

                I'll keep everyone posted.

                      Jenn,

This is really exciting news! Just to let you in on a little secret: you're never totally ready for parenthood. You just jump in. I'm fortunate to say that I've lived a very full life but becoming a parent is the absolute best thing that I've ever done. This child brings out the best part of both me and my husband. He is a gift from God. You will never regret your decision.

The only unsolicited advice that I have is to make sure that all your shots are current and that you take some prenatal vitamins. Oh, yeah, enjoy all the practice that comes with babymaking

                      Kelly
In my dreams I run with the Kenyans.
