BTW if you have an arabic grocery near, you should try the Kefir Cheese called "Labne". It's really terrific, I of course was introduced to it through DH. Obviously this isn't a sweetened product. My kids love dipping celery sticks in it and cucumber slices! Yum!

"Laben was originally made by draining whey from slightly salted yogurt. It's uses are many and varied. At it's most basic, it is served as a dip for bread, garnished w/ a small pool of olive oil in the middle and can be sprinkled w/ a little crushed, hot, dry red pepper and or dry mint. Delicious in sandwhiches with tomatoes, it also tenderizes meats in stews and adds creaminess to soups. A refresshing dip for veggies, labne is rich enough to be used like sour cream as a spread or topping on your favorite foods."

Other than the college radio station in town, there's nothing else that isn't owned by Big Radio.

and back to the topic...yes, they were fed the probiotics. Nikolai LOVES vanilla kefir, btw, but it's hard to find without HFCS. One manufacturer uses cane sugar as a sweetener.

I've tried Kefir, not my thing so much. I love the Stoneyfield Yogurts (favorite is the Lemon Zest) as they don't have the HFCS, and Reed would eat nothing but YoBaby if he could.

Hmm...she is crying on my lap as I type! I'll see if I can find it. I'm wondering the age of the study participants (since she is just 2 mo).

I read in one of my Mommy/new parent advice books, that was written in England, to start plain yogurt @ 4mos. That's what we did w/ all 3 of the kiddos.
