BTW if you have an arabic grocery near, you should try the Kefir Cheese called "Labne". It's really terrific, I of course was introduced to it through DH. Obviously this isn't a sweetened product. My kids love dipping celery sticks in it and cucumber slices! Yum!
"Laben was originally made by draining whey from slightly salted yogurt. It's uses are many and varied. At it's most basic, it is served as a dip for bread, garnished w/ a small pool of olive oil in the middle and can be sprinkled w/ a little crushed, hot, dry red pepper and or dry mint. Delicious in sandwhiches with tomatoes, it also tenderizes meats in stews and adds creaminess to soups. A refresshing dip for veggies, labne is rich enough to be used like sour cream as a spread or topping on your favorite foods."
