    • We were talking about baby teeth and big kid teeth. I told A that you only have your baby teeth for a little bit, and then you have your big kid teeth for the rest of your life - like 80 more years.

A: And then you die. When you die, who will take care of me and H?

      • C: "Did you see patients today"
        DH: "Yes, I did"
        C: "What were their names?"
        DH: [makes up patient's name]
C: "What was hurting them? Were they having a little bit of trouble peeing?"
        Mama glares at Daddy......

Our 3y1w old knows about Daddy help with pee problems. Charming. I can't wait until we get into penile fracture and testicular torsion.

          You forgot priapisms and paraphimosis.

          • Not something she said, but it cracked me up anyway. E's obsessed with noses. We've been trying to teach her body parts, but she's only really mastered belly button and nose. I bought her a new baby doll yesterday (twins, actually) because twice she tried to steal them from other kids, so I decided she needed one like that too (in addition to the 3 soft dolls she has). Anyway, she was sitting playing with her doll earlier, and I see her touch her nose, then touch the baby's nose, then touch her nose again.

            • N is sick. I gave her some juice today at lunch (she normally only ever gets water or milk)

              N: Mommy, what is this?

Me: It's a special drink because you are sick

              N: Is it alcohol?

No, but mommy's special drink is! (don't worry I'm not a parent).
