Can you swaddle him to keep him more immobile?

No go on the swaddle - he tossed it to the curb at 6 weeks.
This wasn't a problem until he learned to roll over. Crap. :/

Ah the 4 month regression! DS never slept well again after that one hit! And E is doing better, but still not sleeping like she was at 3 months. She wakes up on her hands and knees now and screams but she did what Bean is doing at his age.
I hope for you that it's just a blip. He'll perfect the rolling so that he doesn't need to practice in his sleep, or he'll figure out how to go back on his back again Wish I had more for you.

Bumper pads for cribs (breathable) - use them or not?
Are they like baby walkers (still made, but not to be used)? We just put together Bean's crib and are making the transition into it.
          *oblivious*

For my third, she moved a ton, so using them helped a lot. They would keep her limbs in the crib. Otherwise, she always ended up waking herself with a stuck arm or leg.

I've used bumpers with both of mine because otherwise they got their arms/legs stuck in the slats and woke up constantly.

I use the breathable bumpers. I also like that they collapse if BabyK tries to use them as a step.

I also love the breathable bumpers. DS still likes to snuggle against the side of the crib, and it keeps his arms and legs from getting stuck. Regular bumpers scare me, though.
