That's good Cheri. I think about the fingers because our kids were always trying to grab the wheels, or something crazy

We have a Phil & Teds and I love it. We only have one child now so we haven't used the doubles kit yet, but it's been great as a single so far. It's very smooth and easy to push. Another one I didn't see until after we got our Phil & Teds, but wish I'd looked into a little more is the Britax B-Ready. It's similar but seems to have more flexibility with the seating positions. They have a video on their website. We also got the car seat adapter for our Phil & Teds and that was really handy when DS was in the infant carrier.

A friend who's *really* into strollers just bought the B-Ready for her first double. She was really excited about it.

So is this something that those of us who are pregnant with their first child should consider? We'd like (god willing) to have another child within 2-2.5 years (if not sooner) but I think people will think I'm completely insane if I register for a double stroller for a singleton. My inclination is just to get a single and worry about it later but since I want such a nice stroller (BOB revolution), I don't want to not be able to use it in 2 years!

I wish I had thought of it with my first. I bought a BOB, which I LOVED but only used for about 18 months then we sold it to buy our Phil & Ted. I think looking at strollers that have an attachable 2nd seat (and will hold a car seat) would have been the better way to go.

I think its the practical way to go but my paranoid mind would never let me plan for a second before I had my first. Kind of like setting up a nursery before you are pregnant. But like I said, that is my own kind of hang up .

That is the great thing about it. It is a single stroller, but has an option to buy a second seat. So if you decide to never have another baby you'll still have a normal stroller!

At this point I'm stuck between the Phil & Ted explorer and the Britax B-Ready. They are both pretty similar in style and price. The main thing I'm seeing that is different is that the Britex has a higher weight limit and the seats have more positioning options. The Phil & Ted probably has better steering though. I'm going to go try them both out today as soon as A wakes up.

Drive them, fold them, lift them while folded and look at the cost of all of the accessories. I just looked at the B-Ready because I'm not familiar with it and it definitely has more position options, I love that you can turn the seat around so that they can face you. I love that you can put the car seat in the lower 2nd seat position.

If I had to do it again with those two options AND the B-Ready steers well I would get the B-Ready. I love my P&T but that is super cool.

Edit: my sister is considering the BumbleRide double. Not the bugaboo.

We played with several strollers today. I saw the B Ready. It was neat. Have you seen the City Select tandem? It can function as a single stroller as well and you can change the seats front facing or rear facing or infant seat.

We put D and K in all the strollers we tested and I wad honestly surprised at how few D fit in. I guess most people don't stroller their 42" tall almost 5 year old.

I have the city select tandum that Michele mentioned. It's cool but you cannot do all the configurations with two babies actually in the stroller. But you generally settle on a couple configurations you like and stick with those anyway. It handles really easily and has a roomy basket underneath (though, in some configurations, your toddler's feet are in the basket). It's heavy but most double strollers are heavy. I like that I can easily take it apart to put it in the car which cannot be done with some other duos.

I noticed that the B-Ready can be folded with the second seat in place. I think that the other ones have to be taken apart first? I'm excited about checking them all out today.

Yes, the P&T does not fold flat with the 2nd seat attached. I can still get it in my SUV partly folded and it does come off easily but it does have to come off to be flat.

The city select can be folded with seats in place but then it is too big to handlem
